The Council for
Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional
organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for
individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and /or
gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets
professional standards, provides continual professional development,
advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with
exceptionalities and helps professionals obtain conditions and
resources necessary for effective professional practice.

for Exceptional Children, Miami Chapter 121
The local
chapter, Miami 121, is currently the largest chapter in the state of
Florida. The local chapter is dedicated to recognizing the
achievements of ESE professionals and students in our area.
The Officers and Board of CEC
Chapter 121 would like to invite you to become more active in your
professional organization.
Come to our Chapter meetings
and hear about what is going on at the State level, as well as assist
us in planning our events. The more active you are in your
professional organization, the better you will be able to help your
students in Bridging Differences so that they can Expand
their Horizons.
